I will always be thankful for the opportunities and experiences that the Red Bull organisation has given me, which all started by being given the ownership to create, implement and develop the RDS Goalkeeper program in 2005. The coaching environment, internal CPD and exposure to high level players allowed me to develop as a coach both on and off the field (planning, implementation and reflection). I was then fortunate enough to be offered a full time role as the Head of Academy Goalkeeping within the Red Bulls Academy in 2008 which allowed me to grow and develop further as a coach. In 2010 Red Bull gave me the opportunity to move Europe to NYRB sister club, Red Bull Salzburg. Once again, the opportunity to move within the Red Bull organisation exposed me to different cultures, styles of football and another life experience. Having spent nearly 7 years with Red Bull, I then was offered the Head of Academy Goalkeeping in the Premier League with Swansea City where I spent a further 6 years before becoming the 1st team Goalkeeper Coach at Orlando Pirates in South Africa.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time as a RBTP coach! Having the opportunity to plan and design my own coaching program to benefit such a wide range of players was extremely rewarding.
When I joined the program, I was a relatively inexperienced coach and so having the opportunity to learn from my colleagues and the office staff on a very regular basis through the weekly meetings was incredible. Through the last 10 years in coaching soccer, I haven't experienced a club that looks to develop their staff as often and in as much detail as I had with RBTP.
I would recommend RBTP to coaches who want to learn, develop, be part of a club who care for the local community and really want to be part of something. I would say that being part of RBTP is more than just a coaching role due to the multitude of ways in which you are part of the whole club and community, which can be immensely rewarding.

I really enjoyed my time at RBTP but what I enjoyed the most was the learning environment and resources that the organization provides to all their coaches. It helped me to continue learning and keep developing as a coach, also I met different coaches and great people from different backgrounds, ideas and different ways of thinking about the game that enhanced my learning experience, making me having a great time. In my time with NYRB Training Programs, I thoroughly enjoyed being in an environment where we could talk about the game, best practices and ways in which to continually improve as coaches. Joining a network of like-minded coaches meant that we were always striving to improve what we delivered on the field for the players. The Red Print and coach education gave me a framework to experiment within and learn by doing. I think this is what challenged me to keep improving and learning and resulted in a lot of opportunities both on and off the field. NYRB Training Programs gave me the platform to develop and hone my craft as a coach. By guaranteeing a minimum number of coaching hours as well as providing in-house coach education, I was able to take what I learnt and apply it on the field week-in, week-out. Coaching courses are great, but this mix of coaching, coach education and feedback is where you'll develop the most.

In 5 years with RBTP I experienced many levels of youth soccer in the tri state area. From a Saturday morning mini-kick program in East Brunswick to high level RDS programming, I was fortunate enough to be around some of the sharpest minds in youth soccer this country has to offer. The in-house education program is second to none and is where I really learned to hone the craft of youth coaching. Simply put, no other organization in the country invests in developing coaches like RBTP. If you're a novice coach looking to develop both on and off the field, this is the place to do it.

The RBTP organization is a great place to grow holistically as a coach. The RBTP gives coaches exposure to a wide range of players and soccer organizations around the tri-state area. Through live and video evaluation, as well as weekly coaching education, RBTP provides coaches with an unparalleled platform to develop knowledge of the theoretical, practical and didactic skills. I have worked with the New York Red Bulls since 2006. What I have enjoyed most about my time with the club is the challenge to develop and improve each season. The game is forever changing and you have to be humble enough to start each season with the same hunger and desire as the last. I have the best job in the world as I get to work with some of the most talented and motivated players in the area. I would recommend the Training Programs coaching opportunities to any aspiring coach. There are no short cuts in developing as a coach to work with players at the highest level. You have to invest the time and working with players at the grassroots is essential step to learning and developing your craft as coach and educate. It's also the most fun you will have on the job!
