United Soccer Coaches once again played host to the world’s largest gathering of soccer coaches and administrators at the United Soccer Coaches Annual Convention, held in Chicago, IL. New York Red Bulls Youth Programs have had a long-standing relationship with United Soccer Coaches (formerly known as the NSCAA) and as such, both Abigail Katz, Senior Manager of Youth Coaches, and Richard Scott, Coach Education Manager, were invited to present on behalf of New York Red Bulls Youth Programs.
Abigail and Richard presented a field session, focusing on Developing Wide Attacking Play, which was attended by approximately 700 coaches. Abigail and Richard demonstrated their abilities as coach educators and provided insight into the strengths of New York Red Bulls Youth Programs Coach Education program.
“I was honored to be able to represent the New York Red Bulls organization alongside Richard Scott,” said Abby Katz. “We have a top-class team in our Youth Programs dedicated to coach education and development. It was a wonderful experience to be able to showcase what we have to offer in front of so many different coaches across the globe and I thank everyone that has supported us along the way.”
“The opportunity to present was an incredibly humbling experience,” said Richard Scott. “We thoroughly enjoyed it and appreciated coaches giving their time to observe and learn. The feedback we’ve had was fantastic and credit should also go to the Chicago Fire Juniors 06 Girls team who we had the opportunity to work with. Great kids and great coaches.”
