Red Bulls Training Programs hosted their fourth annual Youth Soccer Festival on Sunday, April 9th at Peter C. Collins Soccer Park, home of the Long Island Junior Soccer League in Plainview, New York.
The Youth Soccer Festival series allows Red Bulls Training Programs to develop, engage, and inspire with our club partners and other youth soccer players in the community.
New York Red Bulls II players Ethan Kutler and Rafael Diaz got in on the fun at the festival helping the youth players showcase their skills with small-sided games played as well as helping the kids develop some technical skills such as; dribbling, passing, receiving, turning, and shooting.
The festival also included a livestream of the New York Red Bulls nationwide broadcast of the first team taking on Orlando City SC on ESPN that Sunday afternoon.
Alongside the NYRB II players, the New York Red Bulls Street Team was also on-site providing entertainment for kids and freestyle tips and freestyle tricks throughout the day.
Overall, 70 kids participated with 60 parents attending too.
“This was the best organized event we ever had on Long Island, the Street Team did an incredible job engaging the kids,” Red Bulls Regional Manager of Brooklyn/Queens/Staten Long Island Jerome Vivona said. “ The players that came were extremely friendly, interactive, and made for a really fun time for all the kids there. The kids learned a lot of skills and left the Youth Soccer Festival better players”.
