Simon Barrow: Obtained a Bachelor of Science in Sports Sciences, and a Masters degree in Sport Psychology at Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool, UK. Worked within the Academy program at Liverpool FC (English Premier League) as part of an ongoing program to educate players and parents, on the pathway to becoming a professional soccer player. Currently holds his NSCAA Premier diploma, his USSF 'B' License, and is a member of the NSCAA state associate staff, contributing to the education of youth coaches within the New York and New Jersey.
Simon has overseen the growth of the Regional Development Schools, as manager since October 2005.
Tom Harris: Holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Sport Science (Biomechanics) from Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool, UK. Has previously worked with Broseley Youth Soccer and Liverpool John Moores University men's soccer program. Played with Wolverhampton Wanders F.C and Walsall FC (both English Championship) at the youth level and played for Liverpool John Moores University as a freshman. Holds his NSCAA Premier diploma, USSF 'B' License, his FA level 2 certificate and is a member of the NSCAA state associate staff. Tom has been a senior coach on the Regional Development Schools since October 2005.
Simon Muckle: Obtained a Bachelor of Science in Science and Football from Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool, UK. Worked within the Academy program of Newcastle United FC (English Premier League) as part of an investigation into the relationship between elite youth soccer players and their coaches. Has previous coaching experience working with Wallsend Boys Club (Newcastle, England) and Chicago Fire as part of their youth soccer program. Currently holds his NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma and National Youth License as well as his F.A. Level 2 Certificate. Simon has been working with the Regional Development Schools as a coach since 2007.
Ricky King: Holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Sports Sciences from the University of Portsmouth, UK. Worked within the Center of Excellence at Oxford United (English Championship), preparing the U10 boys for the full Academy team, and Reading FC (English Championship) Developmental Centers. He currently holds his NSCAA Advanced National diploma and is working towards his UEFA 'B' License. Has been coaching within the Regional Development School since September 2008.
Craig Hutchinson: Holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Sports Studies and Physical Education from the University of York St John, York, UK. Since graduating has spent the last six years as a professional soccer coach in the U.S., most recently as a as a youth development coach at the New England Revolution, and head coach at FC Puma (Massachusetts Youth Premier League). Currently holds the NSCAA National Diploma, Youth Diploma, State Goalkeeping Diploma and FA Level 2. Joined the New York Red Bulls coaching staff in the spring 2008, moving into the RDS at the beginning of 2009.
Dean Wells: Obtained a Certificate in Education at Greenwich University, London, UK in 2005. Played professionally with Southend United FC under Sir Bobby Moore and was a Schoolboy player at West Ham United FC and Arsenal FC from the ages of 12-16. Coached teams within the Academy program at West Ham United FC (English Premier League) and coached several players who are playing in the English Leagues today. Currently holds the UEFA "A" License, FA Youth Coaches Award, and NSCAA National Youth Diploma. Began working on the Red Bulls Training Programs in March 2008, moving into the RDS at the start of 2009.
Michael Ross: Obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Sports Coaching and Development at Northumbria University, Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK. Has worked for several years in the U.S. including involvement with Chicago Fire in 2002 and began involvement with New York Red Bulls in March 2007. In the UK has worked with the Academy Program at Newcastle United FC (Former English Premier League) and as a performance soccer coach for Northumbria University Women’s Soccer Program. Currently holds the UEFA “B” License, NSCAA Premier License, USSF “B” License, and State Goalkeeping Diploma, and is working towards the NSCAA Master Diploma. As a player played 3 years for Northumbria University, represented the Scotland Youth Development team, and was awarded an international cap. Has been coaching with the Regional Development School since June 2009.
