RDS Residential (or sleep-away) camps are staffed by the recognized RDS coaches, and offer a unique opportunity for players to immerse themselves in the RDS soccer experience both night and day.
These advanced soccer camps feature highly demanding off field experience, where young campers are held accountable to the high standards of personal behavior that help to mold a successful soccer player, and a potential academy candidate.
The huge demand for these camps means many options are fully booked as early as mid March. New applications must apply for a try-out specific to their choice of camp, whereas existing and returning RDS participants are pre-approved for their camp of choice. Detailed information on the application process can also be found below.
RDS Residential Camps feature:
- Camps are gender specific, offering a more focused and realistic on field training environment.
- Camps run from Sunday lunchtime to Thursday evening, allowing four and a half full days of training.
- All campers receive an enhanced welcome package, featuring four training T-shirts (one for each day of training), a water bottle, kit bag, and adidas shorts and socks, and ball.
- All participants receive a thorough written camper evaluation is sent via email four weeks after the conclusion of the camp.
- Each RDS camp now features a mental training workshop on the Monday of camp, providing players with a variety of performance enhancement tools to help them maximize their potential not only in camp, but in all soccer experiences beyond.
Seven RDS Residential Camp options are available at four great locations, and the application process is outlined in detail below.
Registration process for pre-qualified players:
Existing RDS participants are now pre-approved for all RDS residential camps, and are waived the tryout process. Any player who has participated in a tryout based RDS at any point over the past 18 months may register for their chosen RDS residential camp immediately, without the need for additional assessment.
Qualifying programs include the tryout based spring, fall, and winter RDS, and tryout based RDS Residential Summer Camps. Participation in an open registration RDS summer day camp does not pre-qualify a player for these camps.
Existing RDS participants can get access to a private link, bypassing tryouts, and providing immediate acceptance to camp, by emailing email@example.com.
Registration process for new applicants:
New applicants must attend an open tryout, in order to be selected for camp. Last year, over 2000 players applied for a space on an RDS residential camp, resulting in all camps being fully booked, and closed for registration, weeks ahead of the try-out date.
With a large percentage of spaces being taken up by returning RDS participants, demand for this year’s camps is likely to be even more overwhelming, so interested parties are advised to register immediately to avoid disappointment.

Registration process for out of state applicants:
Red Bulls RDS camps attract some highly talented players from all over the country. Players who live outside the New York tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT) may be considered for camp without attending try-outs.
Applicants should email their soccer resume, including current club, level of play, coaches references, and other high level camps attended, to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Subject to satisfying selection criteria, pre-qualified registration instructions will be emailed within 48 hours.
Each camp location has a FAQ page below, specifically dedicated to that location. Please note that these are sample FAQs and should be used as a guideline only. Upon acceptance to camp, your pre-camp information pack, along with updated FAQs will be emailed to you one month prior to camp start.
