Red Bulls Announce Spring RDS try-outs
The New York Red Bulls today announced the try out dates for the upcoming spring Regional Development Schools (RDS).
Following on from a huge winter season, where almost 3000 players tried out for the program, the RDS, Red Bulls’ flagship pre-academy program expands the spring schedule once more, to help meet demand.
The popular program returns to many established training facilities, as well as branching out into new locations in both Westchester, and Brooklyn. With training offered in more regions than ever before, there is sure to be a suitable option for all.
All RDS locations offer eight weeks of advanced, technical training, focusing specifically on individual functions of the game. Accessible via try out only, each course provides an intensive and challenging environment unlike any other. Players that excel within the RDS will be selected to represent the Red Bull New York in showcase tournament play, and earn the opportunity to train with the full academy teams.
Featuring a low coaching ratio, some of the most highly qualified staff in the area, and an unrivaled end of season evaluation, the program is firmly entrenched as the area's ultimate training tool. Applications are encouraged from boys and girls aged 8 to 14, who have a strong travel soccer background, and are looking for a unique training environment to supplement their club schedule.
Applications are especially welcome from boys born in 1999, looking to enhance their chances of selection for Red Bulls’ newest Academy team, to be formed in late 2012. The RDS continues to account for almost all players graduating on to the full academy teams, as participation in the pre-academy program provides players with the smoothest possible transition to this truly elite level of play.
