Residential Camps

Overview

Our residential camp programs provide individual players and teams, with the opportunity to take part in a unique youth soccer training experience. The 5 day on campus curriculum,  provides training that focuses on the Red Bulls building blocks of development:

(1) Motor Skill Development
(2) Technique and Skill Development
(3) Individual Tactics
(4) Group Tactics
(5) Team Tactics

In addition to field based sessions additional workshops are given that focus on team building, game analysis, fitness and nutrition, all of these additional elements provide players with an insight of what it takes to play at the highest level.

RDS Camp Specifics

Locations designated as RDS are accessible by tryout only. To register for try-outs for an RDS residential camp, please follow the registration links above. Participants returning from the 2011 RDS residential camps are exempt from try-out, and should email the program manager for access to a hidden link providing automatic acceptance on camp. With almost 1000 applicants for the three RDS residential camps last year, these measures are taken to ensure new applicants are given a fair assessment, thus keeping a high standard of player on camp.

Coaching Staff

Players will be coached by elite level Red Bull youth development staff that are highly qualified and experienced in working with advanced level soccer players. All coaching staff hold highly recognized coaching qualifications and have been through a rigorous recruitment and internal professional training programs.

Programs Offered

The following programs will be offered at all locations:

Program Name	Ages	Description
RDS Camps	9 - 15 years	Regional Development School (RDS) residential camps cater for competitive and elite travel team players, and feature the exclusive RDS curriculum and recognized RDS coaches. RDS residential camps are accessible by try-out only, and focus on individual technique, advanced skills, and ball mastery. Tryouts ensure a highly competitive environment for the whole week, and ensure that all players are immersed in one of the most intensive soccer environments available. The RDS goalkeeper school is also offered at RDS residential locations.
Player Camp	9 - 15 years	Designed for travel and select level players, the curriculum covers both advanced technical and tactical skills. The goal of the curriculum is to put players in a learning environment where they are challenged, technically, tactically, physically and mentally. Player camps are open registration, and are not subject to try-out.
Team Camp	9 - 15 years	Designed for teams that want to undertake a week of pre-season training. Based on prior consultation with the team coach a tailored curriculum is design so that the team receives a customized training plan specific to the teams needs. The team camp experience also helps foster a great bonding and culture experience. (Players must register as a full team).
Extended Day Camp	9 - 15 years	This program follows the same curriculum as the advanced player camp but is for players who prefer to travel into the site each day and return home at night (8.30 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. each day, 2.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m on Sunday). The extended day camp option is not available for RDS residential camps.
High School Camp	14-18 years	Specifically designed for High School teams. Based on prior consultation with the team's coach, a tailored curriculum is designed so that the team receives a customized training plan specific to the team's needs. The team camp experience also helps foster a great bonding and culture experience.
