In 2015, New York Red Bulls Training Programs (RBTP), in partnership with the National Soccer Association of America (NSCAA), delivered a total of 34 coaching courses. Classes ranged from Level 1 to Goalkeeping Level 2, to Special Topics: Systems of Play to Director of Coaching.
This year, RBTP and NSCAA course instructors have been in contact with more than 800 coaches in the tri-state area. The coaches taking part in this year’s courses reached a wide range of skill levels from recreation and first time parent volunteers, all the way to elite level academy and college coaches.
The courses have also involved several top quality guest speakers, including Ian Barker (NSCAA Director of Coach Education), Paul Marco (Binghamton University men’s head coach), Brandon Silva (Immaculate Heart Academy head coach) and Jesse Marsch (New York Red Bulls head coach).
Two courses are open for registration in December and keep an eye out for all of the 2016 courses which will be posted in early January. For more information about coach education, check out the Coach Education Overview.
